The engineered Taq enzymes with aptamer or anti-Taq antibody technology confers enzymes resistance to common inhibitors and host-start, which allow reactions to be set up at room temperature, preventing primer dimer and spurious amplification to increase specificity specificity and sensitivity. They can work in both purified DNA and crude samples.
